That Tarasenko deal is strong..... it could be beat, but certainly a trade the Blues have to consider.
Not sure is Nashville is ready to give up on Jeannot. Get the thinking, and Gautheir is a rather underrated defensive player, but Jeannot brings a lot of intangibles I am not sure Poile moves..... not for a 4th liner (albeit a good one) and a 3rd.
If you move Jones, I am wondering if you don't do better than Megna. Logan Stanley plays an equally physical, competent game while having played 15-16 minutes a night. He has contract control beyond those two years. Since Jones is waiver exempt still (I believe) he maybe a better target and Winnipeg I think kicks that around the can. Now if Megna is more a move thinking cap constraints next season, I get it, but Stanley shouldn't be more than $1.2-$1.3 million on a bridge deal.
Overall, love the logic. And definitely the assets you are moving have fits. That Nashville deal might need massaging though
