Description

Isles need more depth, but have little more ammunition for big trades. Gotta go bargain hunting.

Barbashev won’t be “cheap”, but I think a 2nd, a 3rd and a young depth NHLer (who does have room to grow) should do the trick.

Puljujarvi appears to be basically done in Edmonton, and if the Oilers are looking to improve around the TDL, I’m sure they’d be happy to drop an inconvenient contract for cheap.

Wouldn’t be opposed to acquiring JVR, however, I don’t see us being able to acquire both him and Barbashev with the assets we can afford to lose.

That’s not what I’ve heard, nor do I see anyone paying a ton for a guy scoring at his pace. But what would you say he’s worth?

I can def see that on Barbashev. I’m not sure we see competition on Puljujarvi. Sure, someone COULD outbid us, not sure if anyone will.

If that’s what you think you can get for him. More power to ya. But personally, I’d never give up a Roster player for a pending UFA with as modest production as Puljujarvi.

I just don’t understand why. Pending UFA, pretty average production. But hey, if that’s what you guys think you can get more, go for it.

The last thing the Blues need is yet another depth LD. If you switch Salo and the 3rd to Bolduc, they probably stop taking other calls right then and there.

Bolduc would be tough to part with. How would you feel about a 2nd and Holmstrom?

Dunno, depends on how they feel about Holmstrom. I suppose there's a fair chance they'd be okay with it.
