Quite drastic! Meier is difficult to acquire and keep, I get it. But imo the only way to do it is Panarin traded in the offseason. All while keeping the pending RFAs, Othamnn and Cuylle

The Panarin part is easier. For the reasons I stated below. If Drury and Grier can work out the Meier thing, this could all happen!

Yea I realize it’s more wishful thinking. There could be a team that it would work with tho. There are 30 of them lol

Just basing it on if they did get Meier for these rumored packages going to SJ seems crazy to think they won’t resign Meier.

Better idea: trade Breadman to Buffalo and let the reunion happen there

I'm onboard with moving Pan if they can find the right deal AND they can get him to waive. But the idea would be to free up a ton of Cap...most of which would be to invest in their own players off ELCs, and guys like Shest and Lind (both in a few years). I do like Meier- but the idea of tying up 9M per...long term...no good- unless they move ANOTHER big contract as well (Trouba??)

Hm feels very unlikely, but NYR has been rumoured to Meier and don't how that trade would affect other contracts...

Goodrow could be on the bubble next year. That’s 4 million basically. 15 team list has options. Might not be the worst thing to shed him either.

Trouba I think is a Ranger til after next season at least. But then it could change

Sorry Hawks are just beginning the rebuild and aren't trading away 2 relatively high picks, a prospect, and a young pro they are high on. The "get the old gang together again" ship sailed when Davidson was named GM.
