i would want player back with mantha so i dont think we would accept it

I'd be furious as a Caps fan if they traded Mantha to Carolina. They'd actually utilize him correctly, give him top 6 linemates and PP time, and he'd be a 70 point players. He's so good and Lav is just wasting him.

If we can't get a first or a 2023 second plus a good prospect for Henrique with 50% retention, we'll just hold on to him. A C prospect and a future second just doesn't justify moving our top goal scorer and best faceoff man.

Carolina is probably somewhere Mantha could succeed if given a top 6 role and PP time. He isn’t consistent enough or really good enough to produce in a limited role, but he is definitely talented. He’s one of those players that has all of the tools but can’t put them together.

ehhhh hard to believe he would be able to crack their top 6 with how they have Jarvis, Teravainen, Necas, Svechnikov as their wingers and who are all better than him imo. He might also not get put on their PP, he would have to beat out Kotkaniemi or Stastny for their second unit...
