I not trying to negative, but IMO there is absolutely no way McDavid or Draistaitl sign another contract worth the Oilers. What is it, 11 years for one team, that's enough. They will seek if not greener other pastures. Let's hope the next GM can spend the cap wisely.

Probably want to keep Kulak over Cole and trading for Konencny is probably not something you would want to do either.

These trades might keep McDavid and Draisaitl for the duration of their contracts, but Konencny and Ekholm are likely gone after their term. So maybe they don't both stick around if their choice to stay or go depends on the quality of roster. It would really come down to Holloway, Broberg, and Bouchard's development and Hyman, RNH, and Kane.
