Fun way to look at things. Thanks for that post!
We can debate on everything for hours, but one jumps to me more than the others: Karlsson and his heavy contract won't be a TDL move, IMO. Sharks won't retain for 5 years and contending teams are in no position to digest that contract at this time...

Unless Im not in the loop because I havent watch him play this season, I think Edmundson is right on par with what he should get in return. From what I've seen from him prior to this season, he's pretty equal to Chariot's classification. Physical defensive vet who logs minutes. The extra year on his contract makes him more valuable too. Worth a first round pick to a team who is a contender? Yeah i would say so. Anyone who has a legit shot at a cup or a deep run could be in the market and should be willing to pay a 1st. A fringe team who has defensive needs but may be better off just keeping the pick this year? who knows, it could go either way. The only team that really comes to mind for who isn't necessarily a contender but could consider a move like that would be LA. Deep prospect pool and has the potential to come out of the pacific. Probably a pick in the low to mid 20s to shore up there defense this season and the next

I like the concept but I think worth the price depends on what the price actually is that you have in mind.

That said I don’t see how Boeser is where he is. Also think Domi is ok as a depth add since he likely won’t cost much.

Agreed with most. If Gavrikov brings back the return Chiarot/Savard got, then he's definitely in category 4. Schenn could require an overpay too. Anderson should be in the fourth or have his own category with this contract.
