Description
Time for Chevy to sh*t or get off the pot. Been way too happy with mediocrity and one successful year while committing to sticking with a core for this long.

Jets need to do something to win, and they need to do it now. If the jets don’t win within the next 2-3 years they are going to be rebuilding/retooling anyways. Go all in for 2 more years and let the chips fall where they may.

In this ACGM, I’m proposing that Chevy put his Crown Jewels in a big old wheelbarrow and roll that sucker into some meetings with other GMs. Show them what he’s really made of. Of course we know this would never happen because Chevy has the opposite of big gonads.

Arizona deal is essentially paying them a 2nd to take Pionk. They can use him on the PP and trade him for more than a 2nd in a year or two. Then moving a 1st, Stanley, McGroarty and Rashevsky for Chychrun. American teams like ARI have much better chances at bringing Russians over. Rashevsky could be an impact player in the NHL but just signed a 2 year deal in the KHL so won’t come over until 2025 at least.

Jets need to seriously go for it now. I’m not sure we see them get a better opportunity to come out of the west than this year. The west is fairly wide open and they need to go for it. Empty the cupboards and go for it now. If they don’t win in 2-3 years they’re rebuilding anyways and will restock the cupboards by trading off assets.

Yeah it’s disgusting. I’d love to see it happen. Just doubt Chevy has the sack to do this. Also how close is that ARI deal?

It’s not bad, but I’m not sure Arizona would want to take Pionk back, whether they value him positively or not. Perhaps a 3rd team comes in and grabs Pionk, and Arizona gets some prospects/picks for facilitating it? If Ottawa is still sniffing around for an RD Pionk might be a good consolation prize for them.

I figured maybe ARI would take him on for a 2nd and then flip him next year for more. Probably not though, maybe a 3rd team is included.

This is definitely the time to go all in, but we do need some stuff in the cupboards. I'd try to trade off Chibrikov, Salomonsson before Lucius. Although currently injured I think Gustafsson is also a guy who could get moved with an upside of being a solid bottom 6 guy

You’re not getting quality back for those prospects. If you want top end quality you have to give up top end quality.

Idk man, does Chevy really have time for something like this?

I mean its looking like an early spring so he's gotta start looking at getting the boat out of storage and going to see his boat guy about doing a spring tuneup on her to make sure she's good to go for summer plus there's that reno at the cottage he was working on, not sure if that got done or not sooo ya know, priorities and whatever...
