Monahan isn’t a 2C hasn’t been for years. He can’t stay healthy. He can’t produce consistently. He has no value.

JLF is a serious asset to the Avs. He fits the Avs system perfectly and gets better every few months.

That's a lot of negativity for an Avs fan. You have to give something to get something and Bowers in place of JFL works or even Beaucage.

That’s a lot of facts. Monahan was so bad that less than a year ago MTL was given a 1st to take him. Since then he has played 25 ok games and sat for 26. Even when healthy he doesn’t profile as a good fit with COL who emphasizes skating and transition. He isn’t better than any of Compher, Erod, or Newhook. Why waste assets on him. If MTL wants to do say Beaucage and a late pic for 50% retained if he is healthy sure, but that’s a massive if. Oh and btw Foudy is very valuable to the Avs significantly more so than Bowers or Beaucage.

I don't know Foudy or how well his -3 and 0 pts. in 9 games fits but again I don't know him. With 50% retention on Monahan who knows what other teams will give we; can revisit the Chairot deal.
In any event I never stated he's worth a 1st and a late one at that, assuming he come back healthy the Habs will come out on top with any trade at the TDL. Or they just resign him to a cheaper deal and then get their other 1st from any number of other player that will be dealt during the TDL.

I wondered how long it would take the Chiarot deal to be dragged out. You should look more at JLF's performance in the A this season than a 9 game limited usage span on an injury riddled team.

Don't talk to me about injuries, every Habs player over the last 2-3 seasons has been undervalued due to the # of injuries the team has had to endure.

I guess you can't read, from the beginning I never mentioned JLF other than you can keep him! And I was speaking to the point about injuries where players get undervalued, as is the case for the HAbs the last couple seasons but I guess you missed that one too.
