To me, this offer is better than the previous. The 2023 1st is typically how the conversations starts and then a 2nd rounder which I'd accept being in 2024. AND if you think a 2nd rounder in 2023 is worth a 1st in other rounds....EDM wins out

Doesnt make sense for ANA to waste a retention slot for that return

Between Klingberg, Henrique, Kulikov, 3rd party retention, Grant, Shattenkirk the Ducks are going to be using all 3 slots, if you want one of them you're gonna have to pay for it

didn't address the D at all, id rather add a solid defence man for 5 million than toews for 5 million. and trying the kulikov trade again? didn't work out last time he bolted when free agency hit

They want him to leave when the playoffs end. The problem is anybody they would get is not really better than Kulak. kulikov is a bargain bin guy that won't hurt you if he plays 5 playoff games.
