Additional Details:

Hughes is the only player I think the Kings should even consider trading Clarke for. I think Hughes fits better with the Devils than Clarke so they wouldn't do it, but I don't like the idea of Clarke going to any team without an equivalent-aged/skilled player coming back. Edvinsson, Drysdale, Nemec, and Jiricek are the only others I'd consider if I were to have to make that trade. Again, this is more for the discussion than an actual trade proposal so Devils fans chill we know y'all just want Meier lol.

If the Kings are keeping Clarke, then I suspect there'd have to be 2 firsts going to Arizona the other way.
Losing Spence stings but I still like keeping Clarke over him. Hopefully Turcotte and Petersen can find their way in Arizona.

Clarke doesn't get you Hughes lol. Also even though Clarke is a good prospect, odds are he won't be as good as Chychrun

Personally, I'd rather trade Brandt Clarke for Jake Sanderson even up than in a package for Jakob Chychrun.

Until the trade is actually made, I'll be on tenterhooks with my Kings brethren.
