There’s some merit to what the other hawks fans are saying with the first being too far away. I think if you compensate us appropriately it’s not the worst thing. Add on Isaac Howard in place of Goncalves and the third.

So Namestnikov, Myers, '25 1st and Howard for Lafferty and McCabe@50% retention; that is interesting. Tampa might go for it depending on how they feel about Howard and how soon he could help the team. They were willing to move Nolan Foote soon after drafting him, so Howard may be available as well.

Yeah, only problem would be sorting out the conditions on the first round pick in 2024. Can’t have it top 10 protected if we own 2025 as well.,

Yeah, I'm guessing the protections would remain in place, and as with Hagel, the '25 1st would have top 10 protection, with the caveat that if the '24 pick transfers(unlikely but never know) then the '25 pick is still unprotected and the '25 pick transfers to '26. Exact protection clauses and such would no doubt be figured out.
