That's not a Tavares cap dump. It's two Vancouver cap dumps for a 1st and a free rental they can retain on and flip for more.

after Myers bonus is paid in the offseason he will be an easy flip to a floor team to get them to the floor. That leaves Toronto with Miller at 8 million per instead of Tavares at 11 million. 3 Million in cap space for TO will be extremely important

Mute point. Tavares would never waive his NMC to go to a team outside of the playoffs.
