I doubt the Blues have much interest in Walsh.

Sellers arent usually up for giving up the better pick especially for a prospect with little to no value

Idrc about mid rounder/s going to STL and just getting Leivo alone instead.

I have that same feeling that Mercer will be going the other way too. It's a shame if he does.

"Is the TDL over yet?"

haha. Right? It is kinda fun and exciting, but more exhausting than anything. Bring me that post deadline push and the playoffs and, better yet, the draft!

I misread you post. But I do think that it's completely plausible that Grier is going to ask for Mercer or Sharangovich

Is Mercer or Holtz higher up in your future plans???
think the lesser of the two in your eyes would have to be part of the deal

Cool. So just offer a mid-low pick for Leivo. Easy.

Depends on what you mean by lesser of the two really. I think Mercer has a lower ceiling than Holtz, but holds more value on the trade market due to his being less of a one trick pony and being able to play a more valuable position at center. Mercer also fits the window a bit better for NJ, being an every night contributed now

Holtz on the other hand I would say has the ceiling of Timo Meier, and would thrive with the playing time that he’s just not getting for whatever reason in NJ

From an outside perspective Mercer seems the better player. he already is producing fairly well in his first 2 years while Holtz can’t crack the lineup. and both were drafted in the same year. to me it looks like Holtz is the more expendable piece, plus Meier gives you everything Holtz could be now and while he is a quality prospect, there are zero guarantees Holtz becomes a top 6 scoring threat, much less as good as Meier is now.
