Jensen seems about right, Peterka in the Wilson seems like a bit much imo, feel like it'd be more of an Ostlund esc prospect with maybe a Mittelstadt

Jensen is the best defenseman that could potentially be on the trading block. It won’t be the Sabres that give up picks or prospects for him, but Jensen would get a nice return for Washington.

Jensen is prolly worth a second. It would take a disgusting overpay to move Wilson. Prolly a top prospect a first and something else, not saying hes worth that at all but hes a unicorn and is likely in DC the rest of his career

I like both players, how is Wilson doing. Tough year for him. Really can't see Buffalo doing this. Maybe that 1st next year to see how Wilson comes back.

possibly but given there was no context im assuming Jensen at the deadline should easily get a 2nd + ... optimistically a 1st. HEs arguably the best Dmen available besides chychrun .100% best RSD available.

Wilson value should easily be a 1st + prospect / young player. given that information i assume it would come down to who wants him the most and what the bidding war would get up to... overvaluing a player is subjective but both players are really good

it all depends on the market.. if the devils offer Holtz + 2nd i would probably take that over a 1st + the players you just named. im just saying if im the caps GM im holding out for a massive payday

I don’t disagree but I don’t think gms like dmen like him as much as they like dmen like Gavrikov. I don’t even like Gavrikov but gms almost certainly prefer him to Jensen I would think

idk if i can stress this enough but Jensen is marginally better than Gavrikov. Like most GMs have a Jfresh nerd that they would refer to in situation like this. Jensen is just WAY better. Only way Gavrikov gets a bigger return is bc Jensen was traded and other teams panicked afterwards and overpaid. Weird enough thats extremely likely

Jensen -- ask would be a Chiarot type package, Caps would probably settle for a 24 first. He is by far the best RHD available at the deadline right now and doesn't even have the reputation as "soft" or "offensive" or whatever that normally brings down the value of those kinds of players. I actually love Buffalo as a fit for him and they have the space to re-sign as well.

Wilson -- at this year's deadline probably something stupid like one of Peterka or Quinn, Ostlund + 1st, 23 + 24 1sts + the college guy who won't sign who's name I can't remember right now. Definitely way more than Wilson is "worth" but 1) he is a unique player in the league 2) even if they sell now they will be trying to make the playoffs next year, Wilson isn't expiring and 3) I think a lot of fans and people within the franchise see him as the next natural captain once Ovi retires. All that adds up to it taking way more to get him out of DC now than any team should rightly pay.
