Both players have big contracts starting next year, and they both already seem to have a sour relationship with their teams.

While teams are rumoured to have discussed the idea of acquiring Miller, there is no guarantee that either player gets a strong return in terms of picks/prospects because the market of teams able to take on a long term contract like the ones these players have will be limited. Especially with both coming off of down seasons.

Assuming there are NO enticing packages with picks and prospects for either player available, would both sides do this?

Who says yes?

Calgary. Don't want Miller and his obvious cancer. Plus he doesn't look like he plays any defense

idk bout the flames but van cannot commit money and term if they move jt they save the franchise by freeing themselves from term and high $.
