Anaheim is not trading Gibson, and cue all the buffalo fans claiming he is trash.

Hard pass on Gibson, that trade makes them worse. Same with the Philly trade, Jokiharju has been pretty decent this year, and Johnson is expected to sign at the end of his college season, no reason to move a righty for another LD

Joker has been horrible, his Metrics show that. I wouldn't do this deal because of Johnson signing. Really don't get what people see in him.

He isn't trash but he isn't great either. I'm not sure why Anaheim would rule out a Gibson trade. They aren't contending any time soon and he'd probably fetch them some good assets

For one, retaining on him is a non starter. For another, our goalie of the future isn't ready to be thrown to the wolves yet as a starter, third, with 20+ NHL caliber starters and backups avaliable as FA this off-season, several of whom have been displaced by rookies, it's a sh*t time to move a goalie, because many will be available for cheap AAV, meaning even at 5 mil, Gibson likely doesn't get us much in draft capital.

If there ever was a time to move him, it was last trade deadline after he rolled into the all-star break rocking a 0.924 on the season. Verbeek decided to keep him, so it's clear he is hanging around.

After 3 strong seasons in a row, GIbson has now been poor to awful for 4 years in a row. That's not very encouraging
