Thrun likely signing in Boston as UFA (no sources just guess). Hayes to Boston as post Bergy #1, 1st+Lysell due to 50% cap retention. 1st attempt, be gentle.

I don't see any team other than Anaheim going for this.

I find it unlikely that Boston wishes to move Lysell given the strength of their current prospect system, and I don't see Philly retaining 3.5 million in salary over 4 years even if they do get a good prospect and a late first out of it. It seems like a losing proposition for both sides.

Very much a what I would do proposal vs. what Bruins will do, I just am not a big Gavrikov guy/I believe in Gryz, I think last postseason he was playing injured and will not look like that again in the playoffs.

Agreed on Bruins having 0 prospects, if Philly preferred Lohrei would swap him in for Lysell. Perfectly willing to empty the farm system completely to win a Cup. Could flip Hayes to Anaheim 1st for additional cap retention instead of Philly retaining 50%.

Thanks for reply.

He isnt needed at all, and there’s no cap space for him next year. Just doesn’t make any sense - and giving up lysell and a first for him is insane.

The return is based on the cap retention plus Hayes, not just Hayes straight up. I had dreams of Freddy-Coyle-Hayes bullying other teams 3rd lines in playoffs, and Hayes at 50% retained is definitely workable for future gaping hole at Center; If Bruins win, I think Krejci and Bergy retire, and next year would be rough with their bonuses/Pasta extension.

Appreciate the reply.

Anaheim accepts but we aren’t using a retention slot on Bealieu
