I think Soucy is an exception. He's on the trade market according to some insiders. I've heard his name in potential trades.

As for Kunin, the Sharks are technically getting the better player stats wise, plus they're getting a pick, so the value is on the Leafs side.

Kerfoot cap hit ain't free my friend. You have to pay to get rid of him.

He's not a cap dump. He has value across the league. This is a fair trade. Canucks can test drive Kerfoot for the rest of the season and if he fits they can resign him in the offseason. He could replace someone like Pearson on the third line.

Canucks should take that, they can turn around and flip him 50% for a 2nd/3rd. Don't think you'll have to give Kerfoot away for free, he should still have some value.

Lol, if he has value trade him for something to anyone who will pay you. Watching tape on him is much cheaper than taking on his salary.

I think Dubas always wants to do right by players so trading Kerfoot to his hometown for nothing may look better than trading him to Arizona for a 7th. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Dubas is actually more ruthless than that.
