Description

Although the best move is to sell off assets, this team has responded surprisingly well to all the adversity. If they can stay afloat until the playoffs when they’d likely bet Barzal back (as well as everyone else that is hurt), they might be able to make some noise. Worse isles teams have gone farther.

He need to move out Bailey this year. Wahly and clutter are on IR and we have accrued enough cap space to account for Bailey. Not to mention 3 guys will be sent down to make space for Barzy JGP and Bailey (even if he’s scratched or if he’s sent down). Keep those assets and just grab Domi

I don’t agree that worse isles teams have gone further - but they have been playing better because some of the younger players have stepped up.

This team is in such a bad spot that durandeau comes up and makes more than half the team look like AHLers. Isles can’t afford to scratch guys who can skate

I would have smith as a healthy scratch, doubt the isles make the playoffs. Odds are nowhere in their favor

Domi costs the '23 2nd. If Hawks don't get it from Isles they'll get it from another team. Moving Bailey takes the '23 3rd or the '24 2nd - Isles choice
