The Kings will stick with the cheaper goaltender with the shorter term and buyout friendly cap hit next summer.

. . . and the Kings will stick with their two seconds, one third, and their franchise icon whose sweater will go up into the rafters next season.

Given that both goaltenders are terrible, why wouldn't the Kings want the contract that is shorter and easier to get out of?

The first one is pure lunacy. The Blues are not doing that, and people taling about Binnington is terrible have no clue what they're on about. None.

The second one, both teams pass.
