Description
https://theathletic.com/4251744/2023/02/25/capitals-trade-deadline-chychrun/

biggest points:
Chychrun interest is real, Caps will be shopping the Boston pick but not their own first
not going to move everyone, especially if it will only be for a "meager" return

my guess is that they only move one of Jensen/Gus/TVR and one of Sheary/Mojo/Smith
Eller definitely gone lol

Can’t see them moving McM. If they are giving up 2 1st it will more than likely be a b prospect like chesley. Maybe Lap

Gustafson gets you a third at best. No way you get two picks.

I can very easily see them moving McM, and I don't think that package will get it done without him

Not me. He’s been great since going to Hershey and his ceiling is high. AZ said 2 1st and a b prospect.

Boston 23 caps 24 1st Chelsey + Mantha (roster player) should get it done.

Probably comes down to who they think can be better on the wing between McMike and Lappy. Our centers are signed for a bit

I’ve read Eller to Colorado in a couple of places, but I just don’t see it. He was a quality 3C on the Cap’s cup team a few years ago, but has obviously taken steps back since then. Colorado needs a quality middle six forward, if not a top six forward, to round out their lineup. I don’t think Eller is it.

For the most part I agree on Eller. It depends if Helm is coming back or not. If Helm does, Eller is redundant. Otherwise, not bad to have depth and someone besides Compher who can actually win a faceoff.

Think that easily does it. I wonder what the chances are we only have to move Boston’s pick and another guy like McMichael. Ideally I’d love to not move multiple first round picks in a trade especially when our future is not clear.

Boston’s pick, McMichael, a second, and another guy between Iorio/Alexyev/Chesley?

Heard it’s basically done. 1st 23 1st 24 Chelsey Gibson and Mantha. Unless it’s beat Capitals should have Chychrun very soon.

That’s the only reason I’d see them target a hard bottom-six center. But I feel like Myers could potentially to that job, or they could find someone much cheaper (cap-wise) to give themselves flexibility to do other things at the deadline.

As a Caps fan I will love Eller forever for what he did in 2018, but yea he hasn't been great this year. I have also been surprised by all the rumors linking him different places and the supposed prices as well, but I am not as well connected as LeBrun or Duhatschek!
