Vegas probably won’t target anyone that isn’t expiring unless he is a superstar talent. Hoffman is a slightly overpaid middle six winger so I don’t c a fit here. He’s probably of similar value to a guy like Kapanen, but he makes a bit more so he’s harder to move.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I don’t think Hoffman is anywhere Niederreiter based on the eye test or analytics.

Niederreiter can actually play D, Hoffman is a one-trick pony he can score on the powerplay but in the last 3 minutes of a game, I'm putting Nino over him every time. Nino is just better cheaper and younger.
