Description

I think the 1 thing Colorado needs after losing Kadri in the off season is a 2nd line center. Could Schmaltz be the guy the Avs needs to make another run this year? Let me know what you guys think.

I agree. They are missing the 1 2 punch up the middle. Surprised they didn't push for Horvat or O'Rielly.

They don’t have the cap space
If ARI trade Chychrun to LAK
I could see them trading Schmaltz vs Girard +

I mean according to this teams cap hit they do, especially with retention on O'Rielly or Horvat lol. Schmaltz isn't even retained here and they are 2 mill under the cap with a 22 man roster.

JT has hit a new level and is pretty much matching what Schmaltz can do. They have enough C depth, so I hope they add a quality W instead.

Schmaltz is not a center anymore. Not good in the face off circle or defensively. If y’all need a center you shouldn’t be going after him
