We're a touch short on those first round picks. As for better prospects, That's fine. Anyone not named Hughes, Nemec or Holtz would be on the table.

Yeah, I don't disagree, and I love his shot, I just think that worst case, the Ducks hold onto Rico and this is the return next year. Rico coming home to the Devils is a fun story, but I agree-it doesn't make a ton of sense roster-wise at this moment. If he gets moved, I'd bet Vegas, Seattle or Carolina end up being the landing spot...

It's been pretty quiet when it comes to actual Ducks rumors (They were talking about Gibby this weekend, which made me laugh, but nothing else), which has me a *bit* concerned, but it felt the same last year before Verbeek moved Manson/Lindholm/D-Lo, so maybe they're just good at keeping a lid on things?
