Red Wings aren't sellers. Look at the standings. Notice the games in hand. Thanks.

Yzerman recently said he's not trading Bertuzzi while the Red Wings are in the playoff race.

But let's ignore that. He's only the GM.

Kerfoot will help with the playoff race. Obviously he's not Bertuzzi. But the Wings stay competitive and build for the future with this trade.

You can no longer make conditions based on signings, And even if Bertuzzi were available which he isn't. it would be a cold day in hell that we move Bertuzzi for a pending UFA and a draft pick that's 5 drafts away. Yzerman would laugh Dubas out of the building.

Guy is a troll. A 2027 2nd. Hilarious. Funny how even after Dubas acquires ROR, "useless" Bertuzzi still ends up in the Leafs top 6. 🤭

High draft picks are valuable regardless of year. Dubas just traded a 2026 2nd.

Not disagreeing with you or Yzerman here. At the same time, these next few days might put the Wings out of the race which can change Bertuzzi's availability status.

Again Kerfoot does not bring what Bert brings. Bert has chemistry with Larkin and that will help them moving forward. You also can not put signing conditions on trades.

Lastly, this is what the 3rd or 4th time you have tried to sell us on trading Bert for nothing.

When you are trying to get out of a rebuild trading good players for future picks is not a recipe for sucess.

Take the retention and the condition away and Detroit might look at this if they're out of contention at the TDL.

Even though there's a good chance Toronto's 2027 second is a very high pick, it'd be pretty silly of Yzerman to take that seriously
