3C and LD are exactly what the Oilers need. If they don't do anything this deadline the fans should be very upset.

Dont think PHI really puts any value into foegele, hes not what they lack/need.

And I think Yamamoto and a late in the round 2nd aren;t enough for Laughton. Laughton isnt an all star by no means, but hes worth that and probably an additional 3rd.

Solid 2 way, 2nd career yr in pts on a team that cant score 2 yrs in a row, gritty, leader type, plauys all 3 positions and signed long term for 3mil. Yamamoto is small and PHI doesn;t like small or need more wingers.

Although could do one stop shopping at PHI for Sanheim, Laughton and MacEwen for a little less than those 1st 2 offers

Man if Oilers could swing Ekholm that would be massive. High-end shutdown guy. One of the better ones in the league. And the thing with him is that if you buy what the insiders have said about Edmonton (or maybe even the players) wanting a dman that can move the puck- Ekholm does that pretty well also. Perfect fit.

Swap JP for Schaefer, and NSH will hang onto 1 mil of Ekholm's contract and you got a deal. NSH wants younger guys they can develop on their own at this point.
