I’d be thoroughly intrigued by this for CBJ.

I feel like that’s an overpayment in a half like if you fliped that that’s like saying ottawa trading Zub for 1st a 2nd Svozil and Del Bel Belluz. Like I love Zub but if someone offered me that I would take it in a heart beat

Originally I had just a 1st, not the 2nd and 1st. Don't know what the cost would really be, thought it was worth looking at

Bringing in Lassi Thomson would be a real full circle moment since he was chosen with Columbus's 2019 pick.

I agree it's an overpay, but Columbus also isn't inclined to be trading him as evidenced by the recent extension. And you can't really reverse the situation, either; the two teams are in wildly different situations this season. I'd probably drop the second and maybe Ostapchuk.

Yes, the entire team has been bad. Way to figure that one out. Peeke not a 1RD and should never be put in the position to play in that role, but the Jackets are down bad. Not to mention the coach is in WAY over his head. Bad system, bad personnel, bad results for the players. Will I miss him? No. But put in position to succeed (second pair minutes with an offensive-minded LD partner in a system that makes any kind of sense), his numbers might look remarkably different.

This is what I was figuring. Based on his minutes he's definitely playing tough competition but out him on the 2nd pair on a rising team and he could be a solid insulator for Sanderson. If the price is reasonable it could be a good risk for the sens. Jackets get to add to their rebuild.

Actually, I'd change Thomson (a right-shot D, where CBJ would still have Jiricek/Blankenburg/Boqvist/Bjork/Gudbranson/Ceulemans after this deal) to Tomas Hamara (LHD) or Leevi Merilainen (G), both of whom would fit better in the overall prospect pipeline for Columbus, and keep Ostapchuk, who fills a need as a centre.

I bet he'd be a great partner for Sanderson, actually. If he isn't traded, hopefully he can fill a similar role next to Svozil or Mateychuk here.

I'll defer to you here. I did not read up on handedness of Sens prospects.
