Why move Kerfoot if you don’t need too? He’s a decently reliable 2 way middle 6 guy. Can play LW/C.

Kerfoot's not a bad player, but I don't see the Isles spending what few assets they have on adding a guy who derives most of his value from his defensive play - they still need more offense, and if they're moving a 2nd I'd hope they'd get more of a play driver than Kerfoot.

Canucks fans hatred of Kerfoot is weird. Probably all the Armchair GM's with him being traded to the Canucks lol

He's a solid reliable player, I imagine some team would gladly give a 4th, perhaps even a 3rd for him, especially seeing the prices some other players have gotten.

It's not so much about the player as it is the contract. Most teams that could use him don't have the cap for him. He's also not a difference maker so he's likely the 3rd or 4th option for those teams. Other teams can wait till the offseason to sign him if they want. These things automatically depress the value.
