Is anyone other than Seravalli suggesting Kerfoot to VAN?

I don't see how or why they'd want him unless there's an immediate extension done.

No ways the Leafs would trade Sandin for Holanger. Kerfoot? Leafs could gift Kerfoot to Canucks....wouldn't be bad move by the Canucks to see if they want him next year. Or the Kerfoot trade is done now, the Canucks could likely trade him and get a modest return for half retained.

I mean if you add Sandin then I guess. Canucks are not interested in Kerfoot. They are interested in the sweetener the Leafs would have to add to dump his contract

Dubas unlikely will trade Kerfoot. If he will make another move up front, it should be for the 2nd or 3rd line winger. Also Höglander is not the type of player they need.

Unless Murray is going to be on LTIR until the playoffs (reports suggest he's gonna be back soon)....or unless someone else gets hurt and goes on LTIR...Dubas has to clear a little over $1m. Closer to $2m if he intends to sign Knies once his collegiate season is done....so I can see why he would look to move Kerfoot/Holl/Engvall in order to make the cap room needed.

I just don't view any of those players as "cap dumps"...so would be pissed if he had to include a sweetener to move one out.....and Vancouver just doesn't make sense as a trading partner to add a pending UFA.

I know the cap and the rumors. They wait until friday if another Sandin 2.0 situation from last year with an injury is going to develop. Engvall is enough to make the cap work. So trade him. Kerfoot has far more value especially in the playoffs. I don't know, if Engvall will finally score his first goal after 17 Games without on. And I don't want that they gamble on it. This team with all the additions is too good, the time too important, to reley on the giraffe.

will also depend on if they have any intentions of re-signing any of those pending UFA's....I can see them wanting to keep and re-sign Engvall but won't be heartbroken to see him go
