Description
I know we do not want to get rid of Pettersson but in order to make any trade for Miller work financially, its him or Petry and Petry has a NMC. It wont be as bad as you guys think, POJ on the come up and then Chychrun basically replaces him anyways. Also the Arizona trade could see another prospect going to Ari. Enough with thinking a 1st and 2nd will do!

Just learned retainage carries over, Miller trade would be much different and less retained

I think AZ is going to want Pickering or Smith. Poulin is a so-so prospect at this point.

For VAN, if they're willing to eat some salary for Miller, my guess it's closer to $1.5-$2M and would need a 1st.

We would have to add on to both of those trades, slight underpays on both

While that offer to VAN might seem in the ballpark, although Hallander and the 4th are both really weak, no way does VAN retain as Miller is already resigned long term.

VAN would probably need multiple 1sts to retain for that long

I wasnt sure on Petterssons value, and Canucks fans say anything to get rid of millers contract will do. I agree adding onto Arizona tho

Retainage would just be this years contract not on extension

I’d think that if we get that much retained back on Miller, we would have to start the base of a trade with at least a first + Petts or Joseph and then from there who knows

"Slight".

The Canucks will not be retaining 50% of Miller's contract for the next 8 years

Wrong. The % retention carries over to the next contract

A 1st, 2nd and Pickering might end up getting it done for AZ. Teams are bailing because of their high ask so taking what is two firsts and a 2nd without retention or cap coming back should fly.

Or instead or Petterson, you can move Rutta and Teddy
