As much as I would like Chuchrun, Caps have to keep the 2023 1st. Will be top 15 -> must to keep.

The asking price is two 1st Rounders, so I offer 1 un-protected 1st and a 2nd plus our Top Prospect and a huge winger under contract who would probably play 1st line in Arizona. I think it's a fair trade, more than fair. They would still have 9 picks in rounds 1-3 over the next 3 drafts. They won't be bad enough to even have a chance at Bedard.

I think it is fair trade yes. But for the Caps specifically, I think it is necessary for them to keep this years first. This year's draft class is super deep, with pretty much all projects top 10 picks being very very good. Regardless of having a chance at Bedard (I believe it is 2% now...), I still think a top 10 pick would do wonders for this team, especially since a) this team has a very very limited prospect pool and b) next year, the defense is already coming together with top 4 defenders looking like: (Fehevary, Carlson, Sandin, Jensen).

As much as Chychrun would be great, I do not think he is necessary for the team right now, especially for a price of a potential top 10 pick...

But agree to disagree - totally see your point
