No thanks from Van. Not happening for that. If its serious then Samuelsson, Lukkonnen and a 1st is the framework.

You must be joking. No one is paying anything close to that for a goaltender coming off his worst season, and significant injuries. Samuelsson alone is worth more just for his long-term contract. That is like Buffalo trying to offer Bryson, Okposo, and a draft pick for Elias Pettersson.

His season isn't even done yet lmfao, his save % has already shot up with his most recent 3 games, His injuries aren't effecting him, Demko has returned to form since coming back to injury Demko playing at this form is one of the best goalie contracts in the league, this is no where near close to Pettersson for Okposo, this would be like the Canucks offering OEL and 2nd for when Dahlin was struggling under Kruger

Buffalo doesn’t need to pay that much to get Thatcher Demko. If they wanted him, which they obviously don’t because they didn’t make an offer Vancouver wanted. I’m not saying a pile of crap would be good enough, I’m saying the cost doesn’t make sense for Buffalo to pay it. It also wouldn’t be as much as you think. Personally, I think Devin Levi will be ready sooner than most people believe. While I don’t think he will be NHL ready next year, he could be by the end of the season. A goalie tandem of Luukkonen and Levi seems like a bright future for Buffalo. I expect the Sabres to run with Comrie and Luukkonen next year, letting their other prospects develop with Levi to take Comrie’s place after that.

That’s perfectly fine with me. Even the offer made it on this page I think is too much. Obviously Vancouver fans wouldn’t be happy with it, so I don’t think this would work out for either side.
