Teams won’t be lining up to take on Wheelers contract tho. He’d get a middling return with no retention, and I don’t think the trade value is off base if the Jets wanted to free up space

Plus, both trades are clearly in the Wings favor getting the better player. They only happen bc both teams could have retools after disappointing playoff exits, and might need to move out some salary.

Wheeler is a traffic cone on skates. Petry is also a nobody. Neither trades improves this team.
