What if they added Connor Bedard and Elias Pettersson to the trade? You'd be listening now wouldn't you?

Ducks are quite happy with Lundestrom at 3C, don't see a reason to trade him for an undersized winger.

After two full seasons in the NHL, Hoglander is back in the AHL. Meanwhile, Lundestrom has played himself onto our roster at #3C for the coming season. Not an exchange Anaheim would make.

He’s right though. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Good offer but it does not help Boston at all.

What are we doing here? That offer for Carlo is pathetic. At least try to make it somewhat reasonable

he's not right, this site was built for fantasy purposes exactly like this. He didn't say anything about the trade, only that he was offended at the very consideration.

This take is more respectable. A better take would be a reasonable counter-proposal. Or, you're going to continue to get these kinds of offers!

That’s not what he said. He said Boston is not trading him. And he’s right.

Boston has refused to include him in trades time and time again from for Landeskog after his rookie year til more recently for Horvat. Other teams inquired at the deadline and were told he was off limits.

I have told Van fans repeatedly the only player they have that would get Carlo on the table is Elias. They are not moving him, so they have no shot at Carlo unless they do something insanely stupid that would leave Boston no choice but to accept. But that is unrealistic.

I said that somewhat facetiously

No he’s right. You can’t just fit a round peg into a square hole. I agree when people say that there is no player that is truly off limits, but there are certainly players when it comes to realistic scenarios. Usually, you can just ask, “why would the team trade this player?” If they’re going to be traded, its likely because the team is rebuilding, and trying to get what they can for an asset. Likewise, if its a prospect, the team trading the prospect is normally loading up for a run at contending.

But a good team trading a top four d man with four years of term at a really good number? Why are they trading that? The only reasonable answer is, “they get their doors blown off by an offer that is so over the top that they can’t say no.” Podkolzin and Bear don’t even move the needle for Boston. Neither does Garland. Neither does Miller. If you want to come up with a proposal centered around Pettersson for Carlo+, have at it. I don’t think that’s reasonable though.
