Hawks didn't spend the last 9 months gutting the franchise to get to rock bottom to only turn around and give away some of the accumulated draft capital for wrong side of age 30 guys that are good (but not great) and eat up 16 million in cap for 3 seasons (and then 8 for another FOUR!!!!). My hope is one of the centers is either Bedard or Fantilli. I would not be opposed to investing some money in a free agent D, just not sure it would be any of these...Ryan Graves for the right price/term (if that is even possible in free agency) would be more interesting.
