A.) Benson isn't dropping 8th
B.) If FLA pick is acutely 12th, that is too much to move up 4 spots. Mailloux is still our most promising RD. There is more than Mailloux as well.

Hart is one of the best goiles in the league, Dvorak has done nothing this year. The flyers won't give up their first round pick because of how bad they have been this year. Philly would just get worse with this trade. This is a deal Chuck Fletcher would make.

Benson is hurt and might miss the rest of the year (unfortunately). And when you look at multiple scouting lists (ex : Pronman), he's often outside the top 8 even top 10. I agree that hes awesome tho (thats why I want him) but smaller players tend to drop a bit.

I get that Mailloux is promising, but we're also getting Hart back (who's still has tons of potential). Heres how I see the value :

Hart = Mailloux, Kidney + half of Dvorak (probably = 2nd rd pick).
8th OA = 12th + 36th + half of Dvorak (= 2nd rd pick).

Yep, I did not see Hart, just completely read over him, trade makes much more sense

Hart hasnt been great since the MTL series. I certainly think that he still has the potential (and I certainly like the idea of him receiving the Dach treatment here in MTL), but you can't come here and say hes one of the best goalies in the league lmao. The value is great here, and you're not trading your pick completely, you move down 4 ranks

Friedman said that they might entertain the idea of trading him because of Ersson and because they dont want to potentialy waste Hart's best years (if there are still any) in a long rebuild

Hart hasnt been great since that series because he has a bad team in front of him. Torts also likes him so he might not go anywere. This trade might be possible though. They could possibly get a better goaile in the future with the first and 2 pick. This trade could actually work out for MTL and philly

ersson is a great goaile but they would have to find a backup because sandstrom is not the backup you would want to have for next year. Sandstrom is not a bad goaile, you just don't want him on a team that has defense as bad as the flyers, who also cant score to make up for their bad defense

that could work, but because of the flyers cap they might have to move some players, but with ellis on ltir and the cap could go up by 1m or more they could afford him

You put a pretty high value on Dvorak. Depending on who's available Philly likely just keeps that pick. They could probably get a nice package of approximately Kidney, Mailloux and a second for Hart.

Not even Fletcher makes this deal.
And Hart has been great all year.

Why is Dvorak worth two 2nd round picks?

2 years left a $4,450,000, I'd say he's closer to a cap dump

Bjorkstrand went for a 3rd and 4th last year and he's much better
