It may not be what Armstrong wants, but Blues have zero leverage. Parayko has NTC, signed to a ridiculous contract that has shades of Brent Seabrook written all over it. They'd be lucky to get a decent return

All I’ve heard is that he’s having a down year, he needs to be traded and that he’s overrated. I don’t watch the blues enough to know so I’m just going off of what I‘ve heard. If u have an actual opinion other than “folks need to watch hockey” id be happy to hear it

You should try actually watching him play. Has he had a down year relative to past years? Yeah, but it is WAY overblown. He plays the hardest minutes in the entire league, has possibly the worst top pairing partner in the league, on a team that has bizarrely turned the puck over in horrible places all year long and if you look at the total volume of all the things he does stop individually (which analytics don't even pretend to incorporate), he's top 10 in the league. Most of the stuff he gets blamed for is someone else's fault. Hell, this season I've seen literally hundreds of people bashing him on FB for a goal when he wasn't even on the ice. Like 10 days ago, I saw loads of people trashing him after a win where he went +4.

Are there valid criticisms of Colt this season? Definitely. But anyone you see lowering this guy's work or value hard-core either only looks at stats/dipwad pundits like a certain Athletic writer or is a Blues fan that will forever hate Parayko regardless of what he factually does because he's not mean like Pronger. It's that simple. The guy is damn good even when he's below his average level, and half the league would fall over themselves trying to get at him if he truly was on the market. They'd offer crazy shiz because they all know he'd go star with a proper partner. The guy already starred the back half of last season playing mostly with Scandella. He's good, and his contract is not an albatross no matter how many times someone repeats it, and he'd fetch a good bit more than Jokiharju and a few throw-ins.
