Why are the Habs taking the 4th best Center when they will have shot at the 2nd or 3rd best?

Because the others will be gone by the time Montreal picks… not that hard to understand. And Smith is nothing to sneeze at, can’t see why they would be upset with him

wake up karlsson is diminishing returns and very injury prone so just what we need right.. he aging doesnt fit our competitive curve either and San jose does not want t o retain that much money.... this is never going to happen.. our defense is fine the way it is.. we can build around matheson Guhle and Hutson with support from xerkex and Barron and harris with mailloux and struble and norlinder all coming... the def is set.... we need another game breaking forward. We need a goalie of the future too.. From this draft we need to get a top skilled forward or two and then a couple of goalies.
