Caps pass, don’t think Arizona does it, and San Jose declines the Boston trade. Knyzhov is solid and young in the 7th looks like a massive steal

Uhh I think you’re sending the draft pick the wrong way in that caps trade. And forgot to throw in another first while you’re at it.

Love the Caps deal ofc but no way WSH accepts that. They don't accept that even if you take out the 2025 1st entirely, not sure they do even if SJ then adds a 2nd either. They want to retool fast, their acquisition of Sandin points to that too and Wilson is a part of that for them.

SJ shouldn't do that BOS deal. Knyzhov is solid and should be even better with a full training camp under his belt preparing for next season.

Crossing those fingers for Bedard.

I personally think we need to buy Kunin out (only a 250k cap hit for next season and a 500k cap hit for the season after that). He was (predictably) absolutely abysmal this season. Would drag Bordeleau down when he needs solid support in his rookie year.

JVR could be a sneaky good pickup at that price to play with Bordeleau which I think is reasonable. I'd be okay with a JVR-Bords-Labanc 3rd line.

I like the Idea of pairing Bedard (if we get him) with a big guy like Wilson, but that offer would be laughed off the table.
Labanc has looked good the last few games and we know he has it in him to be a top 6 guy, he just needs to put it all together and be consistent, but I would take Kunin over Lindblom who just looks like he’s not interested or not good most nights.

Yeah, neither Kunin nor Lindblom should be Sharks next year.

Next year won’t be a playoff year either, play out the final year of the mediocre guys (Labanc, Lindblom, Kunin, simek, Kahkonen etc.) hope a few can rebound enough to flip them for picks at the tdl and focus efforts on 24/25 to really start moving out of the tear down portion of the rebuild and begin to strengthen the team.
Plus by not adding much in 23 offseason sharks have another shot at a top 5 in 24 to add to the prospect pool growth.

You’ve traded nothing of value, not too far off in my assessment.
