I am not sure how well that would work, dont get me wrong, that would be sick, but Bedard and OV are both shooters

Why though? Ovechkin is good but wtf would you want him? Old slow and the effort is there 75-% of the time

Why is Ovie waiving his NTC for Detroit? We'd have to trade Seider when his contract is up. No cap space. This is a great way to run your franchise into the ground.

Why would Detroit do this? Ovi is old and won't be getting any better. This is massive overpayment for a player that would actually make the Red Wings worse off.

Why would Washington do this? Think the management would rather ride the ship down than face the backlash of trading him.

I don't know how you made a trade that is actually horrible for both sides but you did it.

I mean no but they should target a winger for Bedard if they ever won him in the lottery.

Creative, but in the long term there would be better wingers to trade Raymond 2 firsts and 2 seconds for.

Hell no, No way am i giving up the equivalent of 3 1st and 2 2nds for Ovechkin. He's not going to make us cup contenders. Detroit is in no position to give up that much for an aging Ovechkin.

Agreed. Tom Wilson comes to my mind as someone that can play fast but also protect Bedard. If we’ve learned anything from the wings matchups with Ottawa, that is a desperate need
