You’d rather have two late 1sts, a winger who is probably going to be a bust, and a RHD who at best in 2nd pairing quality?

Acciari is a pure rental, don't see a reason to keep him.

ROR doesn't take a team discount, this is his last chance to bank some money before his retirement. I'd think $5 million will be his lowest number he'd except.

Murray buyout doesn't make sense, the $2 million cap hit penalty for the 24-25 season will hurt the chances of keeping both Matthews and Nylander.

Best option for Murray, LTIR him, if he's healthy, waive him to the Marlies and wait out his final year.

I can't recall a goalie ever getting back 2 1sts in a trade. Goalies don't get back that kind of value.

I recall Detroit trading Kozlov and a 1st for Hasek in 2001. Plus a conditional 1st if Hasek didn't retire after the season

He won the Cup and then retired so Detroit kept that 2nd 1st. Of course Hasek ended up coming out of retirement 2 more times.

Now Hasek would've received much more in return but since he threatened to retire and would only waive his NTC for Detroit or St. Louis it put Sabres GM Darcy Regier in a position of weakness.

Regier did the best he could in my opinion. And Carter Hart is no Hasek so he's not getting back 2 1sts. Don't get me wrong. I like Hart. I'd take him in Detroit. But I'm not giving that up for him.

I'm saying sending those assets for a goalie is terrible value for the Leafs. Name a goalie who has been traded for 2 first rounders and more? Goalies don't hold that kind of trade value.

Good young ones do and rarely are they on the market.

His career wins/loss ratio is sub 50% and has a 2.95 GAA and .906 sv%. He's 24 compared to Samsonov who's 26, career wins/loss ratio above 50% has a career 2.68 GAA and .907 sv%. I guess Leafs could trade Samsonov for 3 1st rounders and a couple of prospects?! It's cool, you can like Hart but that's not anywhere close to his trade value. You've grossly over-valued him.

Wins and losses are team stats. His individual stats are pretty impressive given how bad his team is.

No team is giving up 2 1st for carter Hart. Niemela and Robertson are overrated. Plus 2 late 1st. If Hart is moved they'll get a better offer than this and two late 1st round picks.
