The Canes aren’t going to downgrade their 1C just to bring Lindy back. Besides, Canes probably go after Backlund instead. Love Lindy, but he is extremely overrated.

Aho has equaled or bettered Lindholm’s production without being flanked by 2 PPG / 100 point wingers. Then add in Aho is 2.5 years younger. They aren’t a 1 for 1 swap

even at 50% salary i don't see Backlund fitting in the wild cap or being an upgrade over current center options. he's 34 years old and hasn't gotten 20 goals for 5 years.

i would personally just keep rolling Hartman/Rossi, Ek, Freddie as our top 3 center options.

and two seconds in this draft seems really steep cost for 1 year of Mikael Backlund.
