lol that's so bad for vegas

Can't see Vegas trading 2 of their best contracts to downgrade their roster. Also have to say, that forward group would be even worse defensively than they were this past season. I get that Gus doesn't provide a ton of offense from the 4th line, but he's not expected to. Him, Krebs and Okposo worked more of a dump and chase/cycle that worked for them and they were far better defensively than most give them credit for.

-Vegas passes - they're giving up two young, affordable assets for a one year rental in Olofsson and a bottom pair (at best) guy in Clague.

-Buffalo should pass on this - Jokiharju is young and still relatively affordable, and there's a big drop off at RHD in free agency this summer after you get past the first couple big names. If you want to move him, you'll be able to get more for him than a pick swap that moves you up about 15 spots.

-Will preface this by saying it makes more sense for the Isles to buy him out than paying to dump his deal, but will tell you this - if you're having Buffalo take back a bad contract for an asset, you can do better than this. Isaiah George is an okay prospect who was picked in the 4th round last year - if you really like him and want him as the sweetener, go for it, but in that case there's zero reason for Buffalo to be sending back a similar value asset the way you have them doing here.
