Trading down 15 picks in the middle rounds is hardly payment to take a cap dump, especially one with so much real salary owed next season.

I also can't see Colorado wanting to part with Rantanen, even if it means getting another late 2023 1st and a one year look at Nylander. Also unsure if the Avs can swing that kind of cap with Reilly in there too.
