If the Avs wanted Kadri on a 7x7 deal, they would have signed him. The FO determined that was too much and let him walk. So unless there is retention, which would be awful for Calgary, Colorado simply isn't going back to that well.

Calgary would easily retain 1 million per on Kadri's deal to facilitate this trade.

How about half retention? That's what it would cost to start on a trade like this and no chance Calgary does that. Sorry, but you're going to have to live with that deal that should never have been made.
