I love honesty on this site. While Short term defense is a need, long term should be locked down.
We also have knazko and svozil plus blankenburg who are all under 25.

Also nah we probably still dont make playoffs simply because that defense is still constructed terribly

Yeah, I don't think it is completely horrible considering 3 of those players are probably in the top 5 prospects for Philly depending on whose rankings you look at.
The player they would really want is Cutter Gauthier especially if the miss out on Bedard in this scenario.
This trade doesn't really make sense for Philly though considering that even with the retention on Laine they are only icing a 20 man roster and have only $265k in available cap.
