According to the long-term outlook on ACGM, with this team it shows we will have $28,430,333
Extensions this offseason-
MATTY- 13,734,000X8 w NMC I think this could go to 14 but I put him a tad ahead of NATEMAC
WILLY- 7,500,000X8 w NMC
With those extensions, we spent $21,234,000

As far as trades go, I like brodie but is getting older and has 1 yr left so I decided to trade him for draft capital since we don't have much right now. I signed Clifton (also considerd Mayfield) for him and saves money.

The Vrtrano trade is a player I wanted for a long time espically when he was a FA last offseason. I think he would be a perfect wing with O'rielly and Bjugstad. Niccy rob goes back to Cali.

7.5 is the main spit in the face I was getting at. Look at his production then look at what comparables have been signing for as UFAs.

Players go insane in contract years. I'd go as far as 8X8 but that's the max and we would get insane value. Don't want to worry abt Mitch the following yr

except it's not his contract year. And this year isn't a blip, back to back years of 34+ goals and 80+ points in the first two non-COVID years in his prime.

Then that's a trade. We can't afford other 8-10 years with 3 guys making over 10M. It seriously restricts what the team can do. 8X8 is the max I'd do. We would get insane value back

I totally agree with Mitch n Matty's. I just think if he wants over 10(Willy), We can't afford other 8-10 years with 3 guys making over 10M. It seriously restricts what the team can do. We would get insane value back

we've been able to put together strong teams (on paper, cap wise, i know the playoff history) with 3 10M+ now when the cap went COVID flat, what makes you think we couldn't do it as the cap goes up in the future?

so if you have Nylander at say 8M and Marner at 12M, do you think Marner is 4M or 1.5x the value that Nylander brings to the team? I don't.

I do. He leads the team in Time on ice, Pkr, puts up more points, gets more takeaways and plays a better 200ft game

Well that's why it's called free agency. The player decide where they want to play. Gee you signed three UFAs from other teams in your post. Teams have no hold on upcoming UFAs...Matthews and Nylander for example

LOL anyone is delusional if they honestly think that William Nylander is signing for $7,500,000. No way are you getting him any cheaper than from $9,000,000 per to $10,000,000 per long term.

The Murray trade comparable was set last season with Mrazek. Trade him to Chicago with the 2023 1st for CHI 2023 2nd. Add a late round pick if its less than 5 spots to move.

The Vatrano trade is intriguing, two guys with obvious talent at positions of need for Anaheim, but both of them with significant injury histories, it would be a big gable that could pay off in a huge way, could blow up in our faces.

It's 2 years from now and others may set the market. But if he's as good as Matthews or at least sees himself that way, he will need to get paid a great deal.

it should get you a 40 point winger no problem. In fact it's quite the overpay, but to each their own. I wouldn't make this deal but if the Ducks wouldn't either, no harm done.
