When Bergeron hangs them up, Boston is screwed.
StL is foreshadowing the same problem with Yadi gone.

So ask Berji and Krejci to take barebones deals to help the team out and bridge Swayman and hope he doesn't get an attractive OS?

He hasn't played the last three games and they've looked good. Don't get me wrong he'll be missed but it's not doom and gloom.

The blues didn’t have mcavoy, lindholm, Carlo, pastrnak, and swayman. Mcavoy is their best player. They’ll be competitive

I just mean it's hard to replace 27 goals, 58 points, a faceoff win % of >60, and a Corsi of >60 for 2.5MM. Check that, it's nearly impossible.

Also, my comment was baseball StL, not hockey. Should have specified, my bad.

Bahahhahaha, ya, you should have specified. On a hockey website, guess which team most people are going to assume you’re talking about? And what the hell does baseball have to do with this? And why should we care?

I don’t even know what that reference means. Are you saying the bruins will be a competitive team that should make the playoffs? If so, I agree. Are you saying they’ll be dead last?

Well I did say Yadi. I don't believe there is a Yadi on the Blues. Not 100% my fault as most sports fans in general will know Yadiar Molina played for StL. He is a first ballot HOFer.

We care about baseball because it is a sport with competitive teams, salaried players, and other similarities. My example was of an older player who is still great taking team friendly deals. He retired last year and the Cards are having a rough go.

I don't suspect Boston will fall off a cliff, but it will be a hit when Bergeron retires, similar to the Cardinals.

Most people are fans of multiple sports. I would suspect if I said Ovy or Crosby on a NFL site, most people would know who I'm talking about from context clues. Something clearly over your head. Or you're being a troll. Either way, enjoy your life.
