NMC players have to be protected. So Huberdueau would not be available

“I won’t assume a player would waive their NMC”
Huberdeau: Am I a joke to you? (Not that it matters as he’s definitely getting protected)

If I had to chose one to leave exposed it would probably be Backs. I love the guy, but based on his exit interview, it seems like he wants to leave

You do not need to understand the rules to understand the Blues are not protecting friggin' Leddy or Krug or Saad over Buch. There's exactly two players, Kyrou and Thomas, who would be protected before him. Or that Carolina would protect Puljujarvi, Martinook and Burns over Pesce.
C'mon, dude.

Burns probably gets the protection and Skjei gets the boot

Regardless, Pesce would be protected. Easily.

I'm not gonna speak for other teams, but you got both SoCal teams 100% right. Really well done!
For those who don't know how the expansion rules work, you should put into your Team Description that the usual first- and second-year players exemptions apply (which is why Byfield and McTavish aren't on the exposed or protected lists).

Can you explain to me why Boston is protecting 26 year old fringe NHLer in AJ Greer? And why wouldn’t this expansion team take ullmark or swayman?
