Seattle passes for a couple of reasons. Trading to what is probably the deepest part of the team being wing. They would need to move an existing contract to make space. Also giving up too much from a prospect pool that is still being built out.

Fair point, saw articles on where Guentzel could land and how Seattle doesn’t yet have that “star player” yet so in this case they’d get that. See what you’re saying, if this was the situation in a year or 2 out tho I think I could argue differently that Seattle would be in on Guentzel.

Totally agree. I think the 2024 off season is where you start seeing more moves by the Kraken. Beniers will get his bridge deal. Eberle, Wennberg, and Driedger will be UFA's and they will have a better understanding of where Wright fits in with the team. They will have more cap space and another year of prospects in the pool.
